About me

Michael D. Pitman has been a reporter in southwest Ohio since 1999, covering local governments in Warren and Butler counties, as well as state and national issues.

   He is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and has won multiple Ohio Associated Press awards for his reporting. He was also awarded the 2017 Distinguished Communicator of the Year by the Salesian Guild of Catholic Communicators of Greater Cincinnati.

   He was born and raised in the suburbs of Southwest Ohio and lives with his wife and kids, and their two dogs, Indy and Anna. Despite his kids’ pleading and begging, there will not be a third pet named Jones.
